eManRenaissanc I can't pin this down genre wise but it hits all the right buttons for me. They remind me of Nirvana if Kurt had started a blackened funeral scream band. The riffs are spacious and devastating and the screams are just as destructive and cathartic. It's just the right length too. Beautiful album. Favorite track: You Take Nothing.

David Fischer Apart from Messa, I am basically 0% familiar with (non-funeral) doom at all. Maybe that is why I would call Ragana's sound kind of unique. Blending relatively somber and quiet doom elements with the fury and despair of raging black metal and emotional post-hardcore, You Take Nothing amounts to a soundscape I can completely submerge in, simultaneously relaxing and pondering about the futility of my existence. Such records are hard to find and hence very precious to me. I am stunned. Favorite track: Winter's Light.
